Chancellor Archie

Chancellor ArchieChancellor Archie was born in Houston, Tx, and was introduced to hunting and fishing at the young age of 5. He spent his free time learning fishing from his grandfather in the Houston area, as well as Galveston Bay complex, frequenting area like Baytown, Texas City, Kemah, San Luis Pass, etc. He learned hunting from his father on the family homestead in Huntsville, Tx.

Chancellor graduate from Dwight D. Eisenhower High School in Houston, Tx where he played some football in his early years, but opted for the educational path, he enrolled in Vocational Electronics which paved the way for his career.

He took the knowledge learned from Electronics into College, attending and graduating from Prairie View A&M University(PVAMU) with a Bachelors of Science in Electrical Engineering, afterward he continued his studies at the University of Wisconsin(UW-Madison), graduating with a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering.

While in College, Chancellor still found the time to go fishing and participate in outdoor pursuits. While at PVAMU, he spent free time at Lake Somerville, targeting crappie, white bass, and hybrid striped bass. Moving to Wisconsin, introduced him to coldwater fish such as Walleye, Sauger, Yellow Perch, Northern Pike, and Muskie.

When faced with job opportunities at graduation, Chancellor opted for the west coast and its proxity to saltwater. He moved to the Pacific Northwest, settling in Oregon for 22 years. There he learned how to catch rainbow, cutthroat and brook trout, steelhead, coho, chinook salmon, halibut, and albacore tuna. On the hunting front he was introduced to archery learned to hunt Mule Deer.

During a successful season tagging out on the first day in camp, he took up waterfowling as an additional outdoor pursuit. Chancellor has harvest 25 different species of North American waterfowl, while waterfowling in the states of Texas, Oklahoma, Oregon, Washington, and the Canadian provinces of Saskatchewan, and Alberta. He has also harvest numerous upland game birds such as Pheasants, Bob white quail, Blue Grouse, and Ruffed Grouse.

During the off season, Chancellor took up gold panning as a way to escape the city life and spend time in the outdoors.

Chancellor started his professional career with AT&T Bell Laboratories while in College, upon finishing Graduate school he worked with Hewlett Packard for 5 years, and Intel for the last 19 years, he current role is Senior Software Engineer with Intel.

He is the Husband to wife Karah and father of two daughters Gabrielle, and Katelin.
